3rd book: 10 Years Later

One idea leads to another and my brain seems to be on non-stop these days. Knowing that the 10-year anniversary of 9/11/01 is coming up soon, I was sorting through old newspaper stories I wrote while a reporter at Suburban News Publications from 2000-2003. I saw a story I did on a 17-year-old valedictorian at Centennial High School and said aloud, “I wonder where she is today?”

The idea grew faster when I found the story I was looking for on the four Upper Arlington firefighters who were part of Task Force One on that fateful day 10 years ago. I started sorting through more stories pulling out my favorite interviews and my arms were full. You see, I liked all the story subjects I met and interviewed. I believe everyone has a story or two to share that’s worthy of a good read.

So now I have 13 confirmed stories to add to my book and the list may grow. These are musicians and teachers, firefighters and stay-at-home-moms. A ballet dancer from Holland who survived a Japanese Concentration Camp from age 1-5 with her mother, a pediatrician who has now led 12 medical mission trips to Honduras, the valedictorian, and a couple who have now known each other for 83 years and met at age 7.

I want to write “where they are now” and I hope you’ll read it.

Keep watching as the project grows.

Thanks for listening!
